iCaSH Medical Clinics, East Anglia

Allman Woodcock have been appointed by Serco to deliver services for one of their clients, the Cambridge Community Services NHS Trust to provide a number of Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health (iCaSH) Clinics in the Eastern Region.

It is estimated that a total of seven clinics will be delivered.  Each individual clinic consists of alteration and refurbishment of existing commercially let buildings leased by the Trust.  Due to timescales outlined by the end-user's operation requirement each project possesses a tight delivery programme.  The specification for all clinics are similar in that they must be designed to meet NHS Hygienic Specifications consisting of hygi-pod cleaning stations and hygienic doors, walls and ceiling finishes.  The accommodation includes; nurse stations, consulting rooms, laboratory, interview rooms, a reception, waiting areas, toilets, cleaners store and kitchen.

To date two clinics (Wisbech and Peterborough) have been completed whilst five others (in Norwich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, King's Lynn and Great Yarmouth) are programmed to be delivered in 2015.  The clinic in Wisbech was delivered within an eight week construction programme by the team consisting of Januarys, Blueprint Building Services Design, Allman Woodcock Ltd. and Trent Build; whilst the clinic in Peterborough was handed over to the Trust after a twelve week construction period carried out by Amey and Building Services Design (sub-consultant to Serco), Allman Woodcock Ltd. and Garfield Builders.
